Mission Statement

​

To maintain the historical and cultural integrity of the people of Racalmuto, all Sicilians and Italians in general.  We hope to foster and preserve the values of our Italian heritage by promoting and celebrating significant historical, social and cultural events.  The committee is dedicated to presenting the annual “Festa” in honour of Maria SS.Del Monte, and thereby continuing a proud tradition observed in the twinned cities of Racalmuto, Sicily and Hamilton, Ontario.

Personal Responsibility

  • Be dependable, recognizing the commitment and responsibility to the committee by attending meetings ( as much as possible) and perform accepted tasks

  • Support decisions or tasks voted at meetings even though your vote was against the decisions or task

  • Address concerns by speaking directly with the committee at our meeting. Avoid side meetings and discussion outside our meeting

  • Please work as a team with other committee members

  • ​

Respect

  • Treat all individuals with a sense of dignity, respect, and worth.

  • Respect others opinions

  • Listen and speak one at a time

  • Avoid profane and abusive language and disruptive behaviour to self and others.

 

  • Respect all confidential information. Be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all proprietary or PRIVILEGED information WHICH is discussed in our committee meetings.
